M2B Nicely made but seems to waste a lot of steam

I love the design of this V twin and it really runs well when you have enough steam. I have a short 3" butane-fired boiler and the M2B uses all its steam so fast I cannot maintain more than 10psi at full steam feed. I do think the extra steam blows the cylinders off the trunk and a lot of steam escapes. But if I throttle the steam flow, I can sustain lower RPMs (about 900) at about 25 psi and I think this is adequate to turn a 50mm prop and I hope it will move a 9lb boat. Can't prove it yet however. Hello !!!

Hello.
Sorry for the delay in response. The mail was in spam.
The product is very good. At first I had some trouble getting it started because there was a pressure leak, but after receiving the spare part the problem was solved and it works very well.
I am waiting for the notice from Sanny (Sales Office) because if they put the Microcosm Steam Engine Kit 4 Cylinder for sale, I am interested in buying it if the price is affordable.
Thank you.

Great little engine

The engine ran great on compressed air but when I run it with steam, steam was blowing out at the manifold from the controller to the engine. So I tightened the bolts and one broke. Now I would like you to provide me with the information to purchase a replacement bolt and some “O” rings. I still think it is a great engine. It’s just me that needs to be fixed.
I do have one question…..why is this bolt hollow?

Nice little engine

I have run this little beauty on air and steam. It has very good throttle control in both forward and reverse directions.
I have not run it in a boat yet (for the next project) but the power as checked at the flywheel appears good.
Very little vibration. All in all a steal of a deal, could hardly buy the brass and stainless for this price.

Klein, aber fein

Die Maschine funktioniert einwandfrei.
Sehr sorgfältig konstruiert und gebaut.
