I live in alaska and made it to me fast, it is hard to get stuff up here let alone an rc truck with battery. Very fun! You can use some wpl acessories as welll, i put some plastic drift tires and is a blast.
DONT forget the resistor on the main ignition wire, I chopped and changed without realising and blew the hall sensor. the instructions aren’t the best but pretty easy to follow, check out YouTube and Stirling kits Q&A page for a lot of helpful information
Original starter brush holder was melted down after few time running engine. and cuase a short to electrical circuit.
I did order 2 new starter incase, starter still working with no issues.

This is a great model to better understand the working mechanics of a V8 engine. Assembly is quite simple with just a couple of areas where inserting screws were just a tad challenging. I couldn't differentiate the two types of belts but it wasn't a big deal. Just use one band for one area and the other band for the other. The manual indicates to keep the gap on the left when installing the battery back cover. That's not possible. It can only be done with the gap on the right. Fortunately the cable was long enough. Oh! The lubricating oil was missing. Overall, it's a fun model to assemble and all moving parts came out as planned. I did the assembly over two afternoons.
Here are my 1/4 scsle bike builds displaying these amazing motors. Build with all real materials just like a real build. Working drive
I received the engine and when doing the wiring that came with it found its the wrong wiring for the glow plugs. The leads I have are for single glow plugs and both have a connection each for the battery, not like the diagrams where there is a single plug for the battery and twin leads coming from it for the glow plugs. I have not been able to get a response from the ENGINEDIY. The building of it was fun but I can not run it without the right leads. I am hoping to get a response so I can complete the project.
I am currently stuck on my T700 due to 2 missing LEDs, however I reached out to the customer service representative and they promptly responded and let me know that they can send them to me. I will give an updated review once this matter is resolved.
They want my comments so here I go. First off the engine is great no complaints there. Then they send an email stating that if you share a photo OR send them a direct message you get a fuel tank with the “Monitor” logo on it. I do both and then get a “Hi dear” email that says it’s an event and they will select 3 participants. The original email didn’t mention it was an event. I believe in honesty and if it was to be an “event” the email should have been stated as such and not been misleading!
The engine is great and the quality is excellent it far exceeds my expectations and the shipping protection is a great value and hopefully I’ll never have to use it.
A great addition to my Red HM-01. These are my two favorite engines in my collection. I’m am extremely happy with them and highly recommend EngineDIY
I couldn’t be happier with this phenomenal instrument. It’s made really well and functions as intended. The see-thru enclosure is a bonus. I was easily able to light up a 120V AC LED lightbulb from a distance of about 8-10cm
A+++
The engine arrived today, it was well packed. After topping up with 95 petrol and 2t oil at 1:25 , putting the batteries in, it took 4 kicks on the starter for the engine to come to life. Very easy to adjust the timing and it runs very well. It looks good and is well machined.
I have used several different igbition modules over the years for my models, from home built, to the less expensive units, to the high priced ones, and this one overall in my opinion, outshines them all. The proce is right and its effectiveness is excellent. I orfered two at the same time, one to put immediately into service, and the second as a stand by. Install os pretty straight forward and should not pose any problems if a bit of plannimg was done ahead of time. The unit will function on just two AA batteries instead of the three that eas mentioned on the limited intructions.
The item arrived extremely well packaged, the build quality is mind blowing and the attention to detail it’s a credit to the designers even the wheels have small brass rivets holding the spokes to the wheel rim and even a rose joint on the draw bar, I have the HM one engine that I need to assemble, but this is a winter project thank you
This is a beautiful model, but I have some issues with the build. There are several hundred tiny bolts and nuts, and fixing these is the major part of the build. They are too small for fingers, so tools are required, but the tools provided are not up to the job. Fortunately, I had a set of drivers and spanners for small fixings which helped, but even so I needed to modify the spanner. I found that the best method was to sit the parts to be assembled vertically so that I could drop the bolts into the holes and gravity would hold them in place. I then put cellotape across one side of the spanner to hold the nuts in place as shown in the photo. This allowed me to present the nuts to the bolt thread to get them started, then I used the spanner provided to tighten them. I feel that for the price of this model it should come with suitable tools that would make the assembly much easier. This is my biggest gripe and the reason that I, reluctantly, have given only four stars. But it is not the only problem. Three bolts could not be fixed because they clashed with other parts: two clashed with the gearbox brackets and one with a base for a part near the tail that isn’t even used (curiously, there are two unused bases near the tail). Also, the charging jack does not fit nicely into the charging port so it provides only intermittent power. This is a big problem, because it means that I can’t recharge the batteries. Also, the charging LED is hidden from view under a cover, which is not helpful. My final complaint is that when I first opened the box I found that all the parts were covered in a black dust, presumably from the packaging material, and I had brush them clean.
Real good model. Ran as it should right out of the box. Interesting learning toy. My grandkids love the whole presentation. The lights on the spinner and the engine running they stay fascinated by it.
I was very excited and restless to take delivery of this beauty. However, when it arrived and opened, I found that the box the engine was in had damage and signs of packing failure. The mailing box showed no signs of damage. My hrart sank when I discovered that the tiny, scale sized wingnut that secures the air filter cover eas all bent up. I reported this damage two weeks ago and am still awaiting the final word as to when I will receive this damaged piece. I am hopeful Engines DIY will make good as they say they will. Question remains, when? I will append this review, once I have gotten the damaged part, but until thst time, three starz only. Other than that, it truly is an amazing piece of work to behold.
This is a basic entry-level RC helicopter, good for beginners. The handheld remote is easy to understand after reading the instructions. The helicopter’s design is simple, and it comes with spare rotor blades, which is a nice bonus.
The left stick on the controller controls throttle and collective pitch, while the right stick is for cyclic pitch. However, the right stick doesn’t fully translate to accurate flight control—the helicopter mostly hovers and spins slowly unless the right stick is constantly adjusted. The tail rotor only kicks in during certain maneuvers, which limits directional control.
Overall, it’s a decent starter model for someone new to RC helicopters and works well as a learning tool before investing in more advanced models.
Side note: The rechargeable battery takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to fully charge. It lasts around 10 minutes at full throttle, or about 15–20 minutes at moderate or idle throttle.
Built the small-scale Trent 900 model jet engine in about 1.5 hours. Instructions were in another language, but I followed the pictures and had no issues. The engine is very durable, runs smoothly, and works even better with a little multipurpose aerosol spray lubricant. Looks and functions very realistically—great model overall.
Side note: The two main bearings are a little stubborn to fit into the FWD and AFT sections. I recommend using any household or garage lubricant to help slide them into place easier.
This is my 2nd purchase of the wood base and fuel tank for the HM-01. High quality and good construction. Highly recommend.
Received this engine several weeks ago and wanted to run the engine several times before writing this review. While the engine looks fantastic and is made from high quality engineered components, it's let down by a number of design issues which means it will never run properly. The cylinders are too large and encased in a big block of aluminium that draws all the heat out of the steam, consequently the boiler is simply too small to run this engine properly. The water level tube on the boiler is made of frosted plastic and impossible to see the water level. The burner is an open cup that you fill with methylated spirits and ignite, it has no handle so once it's burning you can't remove it from the engine if you need to extinguish it in a hurry. The burner flares up from time to time and you can have a 15cm flame shooting out the top of the flue. I actually find the burner to be quite scary to use and consider it to be dangerous! It takes two refills of the burner to get the boiler and the large metal engine warmed up, and a third refill to get the engine running. While the engine then runs smoothly, it doesn't run for long and doesn't have much power.
I feel like this product hasn't been developed properly and none of the design flaws corrected before it was released for sale.
If you're looking for a static display model then this engine does look impressive. However if you're looking for a working model engine then I would suggest looing at something else.
Very nice engine model, easy to build and precisely reflects the real motor. Parts precision is impressive and fit is amazing. Instructions are simple yet comprehensive.
I own now 3 Teching Jets, turobofan, fighter turboshaft and heli turboshaft. All excellent. Hope there will be a turbo prop.
