How It Works – From Steam to Motion
Step 1: Heating the Boiler
First of all, when you assemble the engine, pour the alcohol fuel onto the burner and light it up. This step starts warming the water stored in the copper boiler.
Step 2: Building Steam Pressure
The water first heats and then gradually steams. This steam will, in turn, build up the pressure within the boiler. You have a built-in pressure gauge, so you can check when it will be ready to power the engine.

Step 3: Steam Enters the Engine
With high pressure built, the valve to the engine block can now be opened and steam released. The Stephenson valve gear now controls the driving of steam to the piston, and at the right moment, for the steam to enter.
Step 4: Piston and Crankshaft Movement
Now the steam will be able to push the pistons to and fro. This movement is then passed onto the crankshaft shaft which now rotates. After this, the flywheel is able to kick in. This will keep the motion constant and assist in maintaining the engine's steady steam flow.

iii) Copper Boiler

It holds 200ml of water, and the safety valve is set to release at 2.5-3 kg/cm2, which provides a safeguard against a potentially dangerous pressure buildup while allowing the valve to release at a safe, pre-defined threshold.
