DIY Acoustic Levitation Electronics Makes Learning Kits for Science and Small Experimental Standing Waves
Features:
.Feature:Working voltage:12V; Size:42mm X 26mm X 53mm(H); Suspended object: foam ball; Button K1 K2 not support (Reserved function) .
.The new PCB is changed to octagon.LED (red) power indicator, while LED (yellow and green) ultrasonic suspension indicator. The output voltage amplitude is 24V, measured with a multimeter, and the AC file is about 33.9V
.The suspended foam ball is stable, Ultrasonic probes are matched to ensure that they float successfully every time.It can still levitate after lying down. It has strong levitation ability.and the strong hands-on ability can provide the self-welding of the loose parts.
.Mini Acoustic Levitator: This is a mini ultrasonic levitator device that can suspend foam balls. The device is composed of a MCU STC15W, a driving chip TC4427EOA and two 16mm 40KHz ultrasonic probes. Mainly used for students or DIY electronics enthusiasts to learn about ultrasonic standing wave levitation.
.Working principle:Ultrasonic standing wave levitation is through the existence of a certain distance between the ultrasonic transmitting end and the reflecting end (or another transmitting end) (called the distance of the resonant cavity), the transmitted wave and the reflected wave (or another sound wave) are continuously superimposed and finally form a stationary Wave, the sound wave force received by the object at the node of the standing wave overcomes the effect of gravity and finally achieves the effect of levitation.
.Note: Harmonics are easy to be generated after ultrasonic superposition, resulting in squeaking sound, which can be solved after the distance is extended, but it will lead to poor suspension ability.

Everything you need is included, even a wall wart power supply, the Styrofoam and a little spoon to put it in the acoustic field. It works exactly as described and shown in the video. However, it takes a little practice to get the bit of Styrofoam to exactly where it will levitate. That's part of the fun and when you get it there, along with two or three, it's a joyful experience. It's all well made too. It would be nice (but possibly not safe) if there was a bigger one.
works as it should, although it is very small
I bought a couple of these standing wave demonstrators for my great grandchildren. They worked perfectly out-of-the-box. The kids are aged from 5-9. They were intrigued by the levitating styrofoam with lots of questions. Kudos to the designers..
The levitation effect was apparent as soon as the device was powered. There were no adjustments required. Small pieces of styrofoam were suspended immediately. I got up to three suspended at different nodes. The demonstration is small and difficult to display to more than one person at a time, though. Beware of drafts too.
Just works nicely, as described.
