ENJOMOR V8 Base

The engine base arrived with the tube exhausts, extractors we call them in Australia, that I ordered at the same time. As previously the items were well packed would have been difficult to damage. The base is well built with the temp gauge mounted as well as the digital tachometer and the radiator complete with twin fans. There are no instructions which is unfortunate so you need some knowledge to get it to all work. Other items such as push buttons or switches are not included so you will need to order these yourself. They are 12mm diameter and fit well. Once I get a good circuit diagram finalised and the colours of the lights in the push buttons finalised I may post another review. I will use some locking on and momentary push buttons so I can stop the engine quickly if I need to with one button. I have also ordered some male terminal strips to make a neat job, I hope, of the fan and instrument connections. I plan to use some boost converter step up power supply modules 2-90V adjustable voltage units, two off, to power the starter, fans and ignition. You need some mounting hardware for the engine M4 stainless bolts and nylock nuts at this stage but have other thoughts. What I don't particularly like is the pick up for the tachometer as it is too long and needs another nut to lock it in place, not supplied. I also don't like the magnetic impulse unit that fits on the flywheel. It looks cheap compared to the rest of the engine base etc being a white plastic ring with two magnets held in place by four push in plastic retainers. I will need to do something with this and not up yo the rest of the engine base quality. The fuel tank is also a bit cheap and needs a better quality unit. All in all I'm happy with the items and when I have finished I think will be a great display and functioning engine combo. Detailed instructions are really needed as well as a few more pits to make it properly complete.

Too Long

Unable to write a good review on parts received due to it takes way to long for my engine to show up in order to complete my project assembly. Been about 5 weeks now.
