2. Assembly step 12 a real challenge due to tight threads in crankcase and awkward placement of screws. I was afraid that screw might break off in crankcase.

I thoroughly enjoyed assembling the model. It was very well thought out and organized with great instructions that were easy to follow. It went together perfectly and was working properly upon completion. It now resides on my fireplace mantel and looks great.

Great kit
I was expecting this teching engine to be pretty special and have not been disappointed. The quality is exceptional, I don't believe I've ever found a kit that surpassed this one. It took me a good deal longer than the three hours suggested by EngineDIY to assemble but that's not due to the difficulty of the project. I'm 82 and my eyes aren't what they used to be and all of those tiny screws took a while to put in place. The layout of the instruction manual is great and the parts are labelled and laid out in foam trays that make it easy to select the correct piece at every step. I had a great time with this engine and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone that likes to put things together.

Fantastic! I enjoyed every minute of the build out. I have it on display in my living room and visitors are immediately attracted to it. The fact that it "runs" brings delight to friends and family. It takes a couple of weeks to get, but, worth the wait!
