All good. Nice to assemble... nice to play and nice to watch!!!
First of all, the package got delivered in just a few days. None of the parts had any damages. Putting the engine together was kind of fun. However, there were some downsides. First of all, they could have included a bit more lubricant in the package. I was always fearful of running out because there were so many pieces that needed to be lubed and their was not much to go around. Another minus was the timing chain. With the adjustment guide at its fullest position, the chain is still too loose. Speaking of timing, the timing marks were not correct. This caused the valves to open and close when they were not supposed to. I had to simply just ignore the timing marks and make my own determinations in the positions of the cam and crank shafts. That didn't take too long, though, and I feel confident that I got it right. The biggest issue that I have is with the valves. Putting the engine together according to the instructions left the valves with almost unnoticeable movement. They simply did not stroke open or close enough for my liking. So, I took the head off and unscrewed each valve a couple of turns to get more travel. Bad idea! Although it seemed to work, it only lasted about 20 minutes. One of the valves completely unscrewed and fell on top of its piston. That jammed the whole engine and now I need to correct my mistake by tightening them all. I just think the valves should have been designed with a longer stroke for aesthetic purposes. All in all, I think it is an ok product. But it has the potential of becoming a great product. I truly hope the manufacturer reads this and takes notice.
