I already have two Toyan engines. The V8 FS- V800G and the little 2 cylinder. Both are great running engines.
I finished building the Toyan FS-L400G in less than two days. Got it mounted on the stand and I no spark. So I checked the obvious and after some investigation, discovered that the 3mm magnets (all 4 of them were not installed, see picture. Overall, I am confident that this will be great running engine.
My unit was well packaged and delivered in perfect condition. It has been carefully and skilfully assembled and is just as colourful as shown on the website. The package included two small glass vials for filling the burner with alcohol, a few spare wicks and a printed instruction manual.
Don’t forget to remove the small glass vial before picking up the motor, so that it doesn’t fall out. The instructions recommend lubricating all rotating joints with WD-40 before use. I also waxed the bamboo base to enhance its shine. And I’ve fitted felt pads to the feet to prevent scratches on my glass table. The best way to fill the tiny glass vial with ethanol is to use a pipette.
The first test run went flawlessly, and the machine starts up after about a minute’s warm-up time. After a manual start, it revs up satisfactorily and rattles and spins for more than 10 minutes with a glass bottle filled to three-quarters full. As expected, the flame leaves visible heat marks on the cylinder, but that’s just part of its character.
All in all, it’s a 100 per cent satisfactory experience.
First time with something like this. Instructions were clear, and there were spare parts for the smaller pieces. A few challenging parts in the assembly, but doable nonetheless. The parts have good quality and fit perfectly with one another. Super satisfied with the final product
I added the clutch to the N01. The fit and finish is perfect. The clutch engages and disenges silky smooth. The price to value is very high level. One caution is that the arms are not visible while motor is running. You must be very cautious when engaging or disengaging the clutch. It's the same issue as with a full sized version.
I’ll start first by saying it’s shipping time is forever like a month and the issues I had were with an ignition part called a hall sensor that goes into the distributor and a few of the wires broke on it so I had to buy new ones on Amazon and hope they work right that and a few screws are not there and the screw for the fan blades I had to grind to shorten them otherwise they’re too long for the threads aswell as the screws for the feet of the engine and the water pump gave issues a little too no matter how tight I had the belt it was still ceasing the pump and skipping the belt and I finally had to just remove a little plastic pin the water pump so it won’t squeeze so tight but it is a real engine kit I would recommend this it’s very cool
It's a nice looking engine. I was able to get it running by just turning the flywheel by hand. I do have some issues with it running though. It runs for a bit then stalls. It does vibrate a lot while running and needs to be held down or it will "walk" all over the table. Not sure if the vibration is messing with the governor and causing the stall issue. Played with the needle valve since it seems to run rich, causing the small spark plug to foul.. So far not much luck there. It doesn't take much to go from running rich to starving and stalling. Need to study it some more and see if I can make it run a little faster, hoping that helps with the stalling.
I also have the same issue with this engine that I have with the B02. Once I take the battery holder out, I can not get the lid completely back on the box.
All and all, it is a good engine. I just have to play with it and figure it out.
After a nine day wait, I received the B02 well packed in foam. Unpacked it. Read directions. Prepped it with oil and fuel. Primed the carb. Added a battery and three hand turns of the flywheel it fired. Sat there and ran like a well tuned machine. Very pleased with this purchase.
Some things to consider. 1) The battery box. Once I took the battery holder out, I could not get it back in so the lid would shut completely. Maybe make the box a little bigger. 2) The Oiler caps. They are tiny. I dropped them a couple times trying to get them back on. It's only a matter of time before I drop one and loose it. I don't see where I can buy replacements on the website. Other than those two small issues, it's an excellent machine.
I really enjoyed assembling this model! The instruction manual was very detailed and easy to follow, making the assembly process enjoyable even for beginners.
Once completed, the model also makes an excellent display piece. It looks great as a decorative item!
One small tip for anyone assembling this kit: be careful when handling the wheel spokes. Just like the spokes on a real bicycle wheel, they can bend if you grip the wheel too tightly while tightening screws or apply too much force.
This isn't a product defect, but rather something to be mindful of during assembly. Handling the wheels gently and avoiding unnecessary pressure will help you achieve a perfect result.
Overall, I had a great time building this model, and I'm very happy with the finished product. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys mechanical models and DIY projects!

My one comment is about the drive motor system. It is a shame that all the effort in the metal work for the model was not carried into the drive system. Plastic drive gears and shaft…lets see how look it lasts.
It’s definitely worth the price compared to other engines. Most other V-Twin engines I found on various websites were significantly more expensive.
The first time I tried to start it, I couldn’t get any spark. I eventually discovered that the wires weren’t pushed far enough through the boots to make contact with the spark plugs. If you have the same issue, make sure the wires are pushed all the way through and properly seated.
We also had another issue after setup, and Lucas from customer service was extremely patient, helpful, and professional in helping us troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Overall, we’re very happy with the engine and especially impressed with the customer service. Great value for the price!
I have several engines this one went together and ran great. having trouble with some others trying to work problems out.

My EM2/M19:
Straight from the package:
- no spark
- no compression
So ... no start
The stripped end of the high tension lead had slipped down the sparkplug boot and didn't make contact with the plug, an easy fix.
I thought the intake valve might be sticking and a drop of light oil to the valve stem would fix that, but no. I ended up pulling the cylinder head and removing the intake valve. There were some tiny specs of debris on the valve seat. After cleaning and lightly lapping the valve to its seat the compression had greatly improved.
I believe both issues have developed during transport. The corners of the box clearly showed it had been subjected to some rough handling. Despite the excellent packaging the little engine was probably subjected to jolts and shocks.
After my fixes, the engine ran, but too fast to my taste, and it stopped abruptly after half a minute or so ... again no spark! Everything seems in order with the plug and its lead. So, what now?
Then I remembered some YT videos by @RonaldWalters, where he uses just two AA batteries and a dummy. Apparently the ignition module can malfunction when fed 4.5V, and using just 2 batteries can prevent that. So, I printed Rons STL for a dummy and fitted it with a 50mm brass screw. Using this, the ignition was much more stable and the spark seemed stronger as well (thank you @RonaldWalters for the tip and for sharing the STL for the dummy on Thingiverse).
It still was not an easy starter, it needed a good spin with the cordless drill, and once it was running, it still ran too fast and irregularly.
The governor fly-balls were hitting the cylinder cooling fins, the valve rocker had a lot of lateral play and the tappet clearance of 0.5mm seemed too much.
The lever that is operated by the governor to hold the rocker up (and the exhaust valve open) couldn't engage well, the rocker danced from left to right like a Dutch football fan causing the lever to often miss its mark. I tightened the clevis where the rocker pivots, removing the lateral slack. No more dancing rocker.
I reduced the tappet clearance to 0.25mm
Next I moved the disc that holds the fly-balls up on its shaft, a millimetre or so. Now the governor engages at lower RPM and the balls don't hit the cylinder anymore (thanks @ThomasPCGuruENGINES for the tip).
The engine now runs stably, the hit&miss engages and keeps the RPM much lower, however I feel the engine lacks some power. A timing issue? There's still room for some tweaking.
So, after reading all this, you might think I'm not happy with this little engine, but that would be the wrong conclusion. I'm actually quite enthusiastic about it, I like to tinker and tweak, and the open design of the mechanism allows for a lot of that.
Very nifty little needle dropper bottle, gets the oil exactly where it needs to be, precise and clean. The sturdy child-proof cap protects both needle and kids. Excellent 👌
Up till now all is going well. I tried the functionallity of the movement before I close everything.
No problems there. So I hope it will be working just fine when finished.
Came unexpected quick in adequate secured packaging. The only backdrop of the package is the huge amount of plastic foam that came with it.
The sculpture arrived with everything in perfect shape. Nothing was bent or broken. It came wingflapworthy out of the box. Only the two head fins and the spike-like tail are left to be mounted. This is done in - let’s say - two minutes. Even the driver tool to fix the fins with two tiny black screws is included - and, I forgot, two spare screws also.
Reloading the battery is super easy through an USB-C socket at the back side of the stand. It cannot move while loading. I already let it work for minimum 2 hours without recharging required. The on/off-button on the front side doesn:t even need to be touched fully to bring the delicate creature to live. The movement is graceful and looks natural. It could be - in my opinion - even still flap a bit slower.
The motor sound is hearably but cam be reduced significantly by placing it on e.g.: a fabric surface.
The wood grain of my sample animal is fotogene. Either I was lucky or the manufacturer kept his eye on this detail.
So i can say, my experience here was close to 100% positive. I dare to recommend the little mobile to everyone who likes it.
Beautifully machined and packaged. I am an engineer, and know where I'm heading with this model. So, following the glossy instruction book is helpful, but doesn't help when the flywheel fixings are not like the illustration - a modification? But I've worked it out. Also, while the packaged screws are clearly marked, the only clue to the location of them is revealed in the small scale drawing on page 55. Better written instructions would help. But it is an enjoyable build, and I recommend it.

Beautiful little engine, well designed, well made and carefully assembled. It arrived very well packaged. The first general inspection: all parts in place, all fasteners tight.
The instructions are generally clearly written, but mentioning 2 carburettor needles, a primary and a secondary one, is a little confusing. There's clearly only one fuel needle in the carb. I wish the booklet was a bit larger, the print is very small and a bit hard to read.
Time to get the engine started, insert battery, check spark, all is well. Lubricating all moving parts, I used classic SAE 30 for the engine bearings, cylinder, piston, etc. and light sewing machine oil for all the little moving parts of the governor and valve train.
Using Zippo lighter fuel with a drop of Castrol two-stroke oil (about a 1/50 mixture) the engine started on the first pull with the provided starter cord, running quietly and stably, just wonderful!
The hit&miss mechanism functions well, although I think the engine could be tweaked to run a little slower and quieter, we'll see.
I am very happy with this wonderful little machine!

I was impressed with the design of a tiny gas engine running rhe generator with the incorporated circuitry that not only provides external power (run lights or whatever you desire) but also charges the 3S Lithium battery. Keep in mind that this is a hobby and as such we tinker, modify or improve as we deem necessary. I had a minor issue with the fuel tank where the bottom of the fuel pickup was blocked by because the tank was attached to the base too tight. Easy fix. I also have two recommendations, I prefer the new version of the CDI vs. the old style and i didn't like the solid aluminum collet used to connect the engine to the generator. I will replace it with a vibration damping coupler. You can find the cheap, just Google. Aside from that I really like the product.
