Nice motor

I am waiting for ce starting kit to test it in live!

Bon et beau produit

Tout était impeccable. De la notice très clair, l'organisation des pièces à monter et la qualité de celles ci. Hâte de recommander un prochain puzzle. (quand les finances me le permetront)

Everything and More it was expected to be

I'm writing this for my husband who just finished building this model. He was very impressed with the workmanship of the parts and how everything fit perfectly. He has neuropathy in his hands but he wanted desperately to build this model. I helped with some of the screws but he worked on it for several hours and finished it. We are waiting to get the alcohol so it can run. I love it. It is a beautiful piece.

hit & miss 3.5cc ball top

un packed lubed and fueled, the damn thing started first pull, I could not believe it! Motivated me to continue with the HM-01 bought previously that I had not been able to start. Both in action now and a wonderful substitute to the 7HP Sunshine engine and the 4.5hp international that I had years ago. these don't take up 60% of my shed floor space and are just as satisfying. Hell of a lot easier to start! Particularly the 2 stroke Sunshine!

Just beautiful

I haven’t run this thing yet, but just the beauty and the scale of it is amazing. I’m sure it’ll run just as amazingly as it looks the wood base. Everything is just spot on. Couldn’t be more happy.

Love the engine, needs a transmission

I purchased the engine and the transmission for a model I am building. Soon found out the trans will not available for several months. I asked about an adapter so I could use the power shift six speed trans. No, that is not available either. So I decided to make an adapter myself. And yes it was a pain to design and build. I made around 7 or 8 versions on the 3D printer. After deciding on which version to use, I cut it out of aluminum. It looks pretty good and it works very well
Here a couple of pictures

Amazing model

Amazing model, very easy to build and with high quality materials.
The end product is something to be proud of and show off to your friends

Bought it

It was kind of expensive for a very fragile piece of metal. It doesn’t move at all, it just shows lights which is cool. Overall its’s goods. Can be repaired with glue. Arrived very fast, assembling it was kinda hard. Still it’s good.

Silencer

Looks awesome and perfect fit. Haven't fired it up yet but I bet it will sound great.

Perfect

Very nice kit, everything fit perfect and was super easy to install.

Looks great but

Looks great but , had a wire broken off inside . Tried to fix it then another wire broke off. Very frustrating to repair due to windings feed wire too short. Not sure if it’s good until I get the engine running. Hopefully I didn’t damage the windings during the repair.
Instructions downloaded online would be better if they had more information on how this was designed to fit. Some of the parts don’t seem to fit or able to attach. The main bracket needs to be filled so the screw head doesn’t hit timing gear. The adjustment bracket seems to need another part . The alignment of the pulleys is slightly off. I will see what I can do with that part. Also it would be nice to have the specs so that I can check the windings before I reassemble it. Some things just need some tweaking at the manufacturer. The last picture is where I am at this point.

Great BUT

This is a great kit looks good when finished BUT was very badly finished i had to remachine a couple of parts and retap at least 6 different parts asked for help of customer service and got no reply

Great quality. Machine work seems to be excellent.

Machine quality is excellent. Finish is excellent . Upgraded version. Waiting for some parts that are sold separately. directions need some additional information that reference actual parts but was able to figure it out . Looking to get some spare parts .
I have several friends waiting to see it running.
Very cool. Oil pump and water pump belt driven could use some tweaking for alignment. Would be nice to see the starter motor easier to replace. Would definitely recommend the kit version if you like building.

Cool big engine.

A beautiful well-built machine, which I haven't started yet.
The only complaint I have is the baseplate vas so warped, I had to make a new one.
I hope I will be contacted by Enginediy when changes occur, or new instructions.

Worth the small amount of money

Shipping protection is definitely worth the extra few dollars for protection if something goes wrong, considering that you have spent hundreds of dollars on your purchase.

I always pay for the insurance

Insurance payments are only beneficial when something goes wrong!
That wasn't the case for me, as the three companies involved in the shipping process worked perfectly: YunExpress (to France), FedEx (France - Portugal), and Açorcargas (to Azores).
Delivery was made exactly on the day FedEx promised.
But there's always a risk that something might go wrong, and I always pay for the insurance that EngineDiy provides.

I'm very happy

I'm very happy with the locomotive and with EngineDiy.
The locomotive is a great 0e scale model and is a miniature of a historic locomotive still in operation.
The construction is all stainless steel and brass, with 4 ball bearings in the wheels.
Delivery time was 30 days (18 days for preparation and operational and quality testing, plus 12 days for the trip to the Azores).
The delivery included a manual, a water measuring bottle, and a spare set of packings and bolts.
I'm currently making minor changes to better resemble the real Lilla locomotive: square front windows, nameplates, simulated sand traps, and a simulated steam vent above the cab roof.
It's a shame the simulated water circuit is only on one side, but I'll build another one for the other side.
I'm also changing the smoke box opening to bring it closer to the firebox and better ignite the flame, as ignition is always difficult in all miniatures with gas burners.
To do this, I tightened the screw internally, and now I can open the smoke box lid and use a plasma lighter right next to the burner nozzle.
I'll test it all out as soon as I have the railway ready.

A well made fuel filter

I purchased 2 of these fuel filters to go with my Toyan L400 gas , and my Toyan V800 gas motors.
They are well made all metal with a sintered bronze filter. I don’t expect to have any problems with them.

Awesome, fun little rc truck

I live in alaska and made it to me fast, it is hard to get stuff up here let alone an rc truck with battery. Very fun! You can use some wpl acessories as welll, i put some plastic drift tires and is a blast.

Pretty fun project

DONT forget the resistor on the main ignition wire, I chopped and changed without realising and blew the hall sensor. the instructions aren’t the best but pretty easy to follow, check out YouTube and Stirling kits Q&A page for a lot of helpful information

Brush holder plastic is too weak

Original starter brush holder was melted down after few time running engine. and cuase a short to electrical circuit.
I did order 2 new starter incase, starter still working with no issues.

Great V8 model

This is a great model to better understand the working mechanics of a V8 engine. Assembly is quite simple with just a couple of areas where inserting screws were just a tad challenging. I couldn't differentiate the two types of belts but it wasn't a big deal. Just use one band for one area and the other band for the other. The manual indicates to keep the gap on the left when installing the battery back cover. That's not possible. It can only be done with the gap on the right. Fortunately the cable was long enough. Oh! The lubricating oil was missing. Overall, it's a fun model to assemble and all moving parts came out as planned. I did the assembly over two afternoons.

Great purchase

Instructions were really easy and I like how it looks

Amazing detail

Here are my 1/4 scsle bike builds displaying these amazing motors. Build with all real materials just like a real build. Working drive

SF-NF2

I received the engine and when doing the wiring that came with it found its the wrong wiring for the glow plugs. The leads I have are for single glow plugs and both have a connection each for the battery, not like the diagrams where there is a single plug for the battery and twin leads coming from it for the glow plugs. I have not been able to get a response from the ENGINEDIY. The building of it was fun but I can not run it without the right leads. I am hoping to get a response so I can complete the project.
