Interesting device, but the fuel feed is not well designed

I have gotten it to run for short periods though you have to make continuous contact with the trigger mechanism to enable fuel to flow (the locking mechanism does not seem to do anything but "all on" or "all off" and "all on" is too much fuel) and you have to very carefully regulate the fuel flow because the whole assembly leaks butane from multiple points in the fuel line and will cause some interesting fireballs during normal operation.

Would give it 4 stars if the tubing was re-designed to use metal piping with better seals at both ends. When the fireballs happen, they also have an unfortunate tendency to melt the rubber tubing! Still, when it works, it can generate a fair amount of RPMs on the prop. If the pitch of the propeller blades could be set with a screwdriver, I would give it 5 stars!

Something different

You don't see something like this every day. Seems to be well built. The only improvement I can think of is a throttle, but otherwise a very interesting piece.

Not a kit

Fully assembled and ready to run sterling engine that is nicely constructed and fun to watch. My only disappointment was that it wasn't kit and I so missed the enjoyment of putting it together,

Beautiful Little Engine!

Arrived with much delay because of shipping issues between U.S. and China and the pandemic so that was unavoidable. I was befuddled in figuring out how to start the engine as there were no instructions. After searching the internet I was able to deduce that unlike what I saw on the website this engine has a push button ignition which is actually very cool! No need for lighters. The engine is slow to warm up however and it takes some tilting to get the flame cones hot enough to keep it running. Other stirling engines I own are easier to get started. Once running however, it is an amazing little motor which is very impressive to all who have seen it. Overall I’m quite happy and the craftsmanship is excellent. I would buy from Enginediy again.
