I use it to teach explanation nd pressures and for energy conversion.
It really brings it to life and I have the students full and undivided attention!
Really well built too. When not in use It sits on my desk to hold papers and makes a great conversation piece.
This Hot Air Stirling Engine is seriously fun and educational. I sat down and opened it with my 13 year old son. He is really into science and understanding how things work so this was exciting for him. I had him explain to me how a hot air engine would work and why.
The engine parts are heavy. This is obviously well made if you are looking for an educational toy or display. I am extremely happy with this and feel this is a great educational toy.
What a great little engine! I completed my assembly by installing the glass cylinder and the alcohol bottle and it fired right up! Make sure everything moves freely. Position flame under cylinder with cylinder full open, heat for 20-30 seconds and spin the flywheel. She's off and running like a champ! My LEDs are bright, change colors and change frequencies. This is a really nice demonstration device!
