My 12 year old son wanted this engine for Christmas. We ordered this a month before Christmas as it said it was in stock. After a few weeks of not hearing anything we reached out and learned it was delayed. They first said we would have it by December 23rd but we never got shipping updates. We learned it was delayed again. We didn't get the engine until mid-January. The did communicate with us after we reached out several times and we got a small discount and upgraded shipping but the engine arrived almost two months after we ordered it. The engine is nice but didn't come with a battery pack that was apparently upgraded from when we initially placed the order. The again gave us a small refund for this issue. Our latest issue is that the engine won't keep running once it is started. We
troubleshooted with DIY but still can't get this to run and at this point my son has lost interest. We had a lot of issues between delivery of this product, an upgrade that left us without the pictures battery pack and an engine that won't run continuously.
Overall this is a fantastic kit, great fit and finish of the parts, well packed. They even provide some basic tools.
On the rough side, the instructions (online) need to be updated to a better parts listing and it really needs a wiring schematic and a tubing layout.
I recommend watching online videos to help fill in the gaps.
Pros:
1. Nice display for the work shop.Would not recommend as an office display when running.
2. Runs good once the needles are set and you have the proper amperage for the battery.
Cons:
1. Shipping time for the USA is about 45 days. Forget about the first tracking number you receive with email because it's worthless.
2. Inventory all parts before assembly. I was missing gaskets #50 and 55 for the build. As a father trying to do a project it was disappointing. Made my own gaskets while I await a delivery from the vendor which will probably take 45 days :)
3. You have to download the manual for assembly from the Toyan website. The English translation is good.
I ordered my engine about a month ago.. due to some quality checks it took a while for my engine to be shipped out, but the enginediy team upgraded me, free of charge to express shipping For my troubles and boy did it come fast. Less than 3 days after it was shipped it was at my door. The product itself is amazing quality and easy to assemble. It only took an afternoon to assemble the full engine and stand. Thanks again enginediy for such a positive experience al of my future engine related purchases will forever be through this site :)))
